Product content for AVOLT Square 1

After receiving the AVOLT Square 1, I created a small product content series around the object as part of my portfolio work. The focus was on capturing the balance between function and design: a power solution that does not need to be hidden, but can become part of a considered interior.

When everyday objects become design pieces

Some products solve a problem. Others quietly change the way a space feels. The AVOLT Square 1 sits somewhere between the two. It is a power strip, but not the kind you want to push behind a desk or hide under a cabinet. With its clean cube shape, integrated USB-C ports and minimalist design language, it feels more like an interior object than a purely functional piece. That is what made it interesting to photograph. For this product content series, I wanted to capture the Square 1 in a way that felt calm, minimal and design-led. Not as a technical object, but as part of a space. Something that belongs on a desk, beside a sofa, in a studio or within a home where details matter.

Product photography for design-led lifestyle brands

What I love about brands like AVOLT is that they understand how much visual details shape everyday life. A cable, a plug, a charger — these things are usually treated as visual noise. AVOLT turns them into something intentional. That brand ethos aligns strongly with the kind of imagery I love to create: clean but not cold, functional but still atmospheric, minimal but never empty. For this shoot, I focused on shape, light, texture and context. The goal was to show how the product works, but also how it feels within a modern interior. Product photography should not only explain the object. It should make people understand why it belongs in their life.
